Markus Schulz Pres. Dakota – Thoughts Become Things

Today Markus Schulz has released a new album under his other nickname/alias - Dakota. The album is a little bit different than his recent productions, it explores in deeper the dark side of dance music - minimalistic trance, to progressive techno and deep house. It is released under the alias Dakota in order not to confuse the fans that Schulz is changing his style (commercial huh? who doesn't like $$$). I like the style of Markus in general and i like this, as well as the previous releases. I would recommend this album to any fan of electronic music, especially for those who listen to GDJB, to see in which direction his talent is developing. So far my favorite track is Dakota - Lima (Original Mix), others are not bad but nothing outstanding.

Starbucks in Bulgaria

If you are a coffee drinker, there is some good news for you! I usually brew my own coffee in the morning and to be honest i like my home made brew the best, but i love the different flavors that Starbucks has. Bulgaria is not that far behind in the coffee business. the first one to enter the market was Onda Coffee Break (about 4 years ago), then about two years ago Coffeeheaven followed. While Onda was not that bad, it was not as good as i would like it to be, Coffeeheaven was good but super duper expansive. Now that Starbucks is coming to Bulgaria, i already know that the price is going to be a killer one, but on the other side i think they have the best coffee :) so i cant wait to have my pumpkin spice latte!

I found that one while reading linux haters, it is in deed the most bizzare reason to switch operating systems i have ever heard of. Check it yourself link. Funny and sad at the same time, but i think its mostly funny :D In fact i laughed my ass when i have seen it !

Finally and at last they arrived :) After one long month of waiting two pieces of DELL PowerConnect 5424 are here. The First one is already carring an insignificant amount (for that device) of traffic at refresh-lan, and i am working on the second one currently to become a part of the medicom core network. That device has a super low price compared to other gigabit-only devices and the capabilities are enormous !

So as one can see the site is back again :) Yesterday i was looking through files to delete and a ooooold back up came out, well it did not occupy a lot of hard disk space so i decided to use it rather then sent it to /dev/null !

Some time ago as usual i was checking whats happening in Linux world and on HowToForge (its a great site btw) i found that article How To Harden PHP5 With Suhosin (Debian Etch/Ubuntu). I decided to look some further into the PHP security issue and yes there are numerous flaws in the PHP servers ;). But most of them are produced by not skilled programmers who create vulnerable code. Overall that would most likely fit my situation since i classify my self as a "recreational PHP programmer. So what i did? I followed the how to and re-compiled my PHP in order to harden my PHP... The result ? Who knows, maybe i am more secure now :)

WAN stands for Wide Area Networking, and that is the name of the course we stared a week ago at NBU. I must say this is the first course since the beginning of our studies that i really enjoy because the stuff that we discus is exactly related to networking!!! So i wish we continue this way till the end of the semester and hope for a good grade :)

ps. I must really like this course since it pushed me to write that post...

Google bought youtube for a nice amount of money -> 1.67 mld $$$ !!! WoW ! Thats a lot of money considering that youtube exists only from 19 months!!! Google has to have some serious interests of becomeing monopolist in internet!
